How to choose the color of jewelry for clothes
Trends in the palette of shades relate not only to clothing, but also to jewelry: the color of the stones on your jewelry is just as important as any other accessories that complement the image. We tell how to make it simple and tasteful.
Contrary to stereotypes, good jewelry with precious stones will be appropriate not only at a cocktail party, an award or a loud event, but also in everyday life. Therefore, the question of proper selection of jewelry arises very sharply.
Enhanced attention will be drawn to your stones on jewelry, and it means you need them to perfectly fit your clothes. But “perfect” does not mean “exactly” at all: the most actual combinations in the new season are born in contrasts. We are not afraid to combine red and blue, green and pink, indigo and orange – the stronger the shades of your clothes and the selected gems differ, the better. Do not forget about the palette Pantone: for example, about the lilac, proclaimed the main color in 2018, which has repeatedly appeared in the spring-summer collections in 2019.
However, for those who eschew flashy colors and prefer a muted range, there is a huge selection of topical combinations: dusty rose quartz and soft blue topaz are perfect for caramel and candy outfits. We have collected some unusual combinations that will help to avoid beaten combinations and will make even the simplest image attractive.
It is not necessary to choose a decoration to match your image: a scarlet dress in combination with red rubies will look boring. A fresh decision is to choose neat earrings or a fragile gold ring with a small gem, the shade of which will be clearly the opposite of your clothes. So a miniature product will not catch the eye, but it will definitely diversify the outfit. Another life hacking is offered by the Spanish queen Leticia: she picks up a lipstick in tune with the earrings. It turns out fresh and extremely unusual (see also: Precious makeup of Queen Laetitia).
Shades from the Pantone palette
Each season, the Pantone Color Institute offers a detailed report. In the fall and winter, for example, we observe the triumph of a deep blue (“Blue Nebula”), a Ceylon yellow and red-brown orange. But most of all the applause breaks, of course, ultraviolet and all its possible variations, so the most relevant combinations are born in this color scheme. If you have not had time to fully enjoy the purple boom, feel free to mix shades from delicate lavender to deep blackberry.
Bright total bow and calm decoration
The rule “bright color is balanced by a calm decoration” will always work. Of course, if you are not faced with the task of creating an eclectic and most catchy image. Silver with pearls and cubic zirconias will be suitable for contrasting colors (including trendy neon hues). Miniature products will easily complement the image, which will look unfinished without decorations, but will not over-pull too much attention to yourself.
Adherents of the muted range also have their own recommendations: dusty neutral shades – light coral, pistachio, marshmallow or caramel – are always present on the podium and ideally complement each other. It will be more interesting to total pastels in combination with stones of the same range, but a few shades darker or lighter. Another solution is a combination of pastel shades from different color palettes: for example, ice-blue cubic zirconias paired with shades of berry mousses.
